Quality Manufacturer Meets Quality Trainers

Furniture made into perfection is the trademark of Pacific Traders & Manufacturing Corporation. With over 35 years of quality craftsmanship, Pacific Traders has made a mark both in the local and international furniture industry boasting of a diverse product line from the formal classic designs to the casual contemporary styles.

With their name and background, Gear Up felt honored to be chosen as the provider of the Leadership Training Seminar for their 26 supervisors from its six manufacturing plants. These participants went through six 4-hour sessions that helped them become more effective in their roles as supervisors in the organization. Discussions, structured learning activities, and workshops were some of the training methods used to impart to them knowledge and skills on the four functions of management, motivation, communication, conflict management, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving.

Gear Up and VECO MCISCO Power Up!

What do you get when you combine a revved-up Gear Up group and a powered-up VECO MCISCO team?

Answer: An electrifying team building event!

The Visayan Electric Company's MCISCO group chose Gear Up to provide opportunities where their members could strengthen their team, work on team concerns, and at the same time have fun. Despite the foggy and drizzly weather at the JVR Island in the Sky (Gaas, Balamban), the team composed of 52 gentlemen and 1 lady fared all the challenges given to them. Even the treacherous terrain did not prevent them from trekking up and down in search of the treasures during the Treasure Hunt.

To incorporate the Indiana Jones theme, their chosen theme for the activity, the entire group was broken into 5 smaller groups with names such as Raiders, Templars, Crusaders, Peruvians, and Skulls. The challenges were modified and renamed to add up to the archaeology-adventure theme. Some of the activities were the Totem Pole, Panaman Maze, and Quick Sand.

Sinulog Mardi Gras

GEAR Up was one with the beat, one with the dance, and one with the vision last Sinulog 2011. The team was stationed at Rivergate in Mango Avenue where we had a good view of the contingents that passed by.

We were lucky to have met Senator Bong Revilla and his lovely wife Lani Mercado. Greetings were exchanged and some poses taken.

Camotes is all ready to GEAR.Up!

W. Clement Stone once said that when you shoot, aim for the moon because if you miss you will hit a star. This is what Gear Up realized when we partnered with the Puertobello National High School Foundation. This foundation aims to be the best foundation in the entire country. With its lofty and noble goals of serving and giving back to their alma mater and hometown, we couldn't help but admire them for their vision.

After a series of meeting and coordinating with foundation chairman Mr. Jinuel Belarmino, Gear Up found itself in Puertobello, Camotes last December 29, 2010 to help them realize their goals. Here are some pictures that highlighted the one-day teambuilding composed of participants from the student, teacher, and government sectors as well as from the members of the foundation.
